Riot accidentally leaks Valorant's next Agent, and they're a turret-toting engineer

Overjoyed?

Turns out Riot accidentally leaked it’s next Agent with a webpage called “Enter Killjoy” that almost certainly wasn’t meant to go live just yet. It displayed all of the Agent’s abilities in video form, alongside text descriptions which went into further detail.

Note the empty banner image, definitely a test page. Oopsie.

It’s promptly been taken offline, but as we all know, the internet never forgets and all the juicy details were quickly captured by the community.

So, what do we know? The next Agent’s called Killjoy, an engineer type who can deploy bots to hunt down enemies, plant turrets to defend parts of the map, and detain enemies with big AoE gadgets.

Redditor OmoiReddit helpfully rounded up all of Killjoy’s abilities and pika_chutp put together a short clip over on imgur which shows them all in action.

Here’s a look at all of Killjoy’s abilities:

Alarmbot

”Equip and deploy a bot that hunts down enemies who dare to get in range. When my killer robot friend reaches its target, boom goes the idiot.”

“Alarmbot not only deals damage, it temporarily leaves affected targets vulnerable to double damage from all sources. Hold equip if you want to recall your deployed bot.”

Turret

“Sometimes it's good to plant some roots. Deploy a turret that fires at enemies within its 180 degree cone. Hold equip to recall the deployed turret.”

“With my turret, I can hold an area pretty well myself while the others cover the angles I can't.”

Nanoswarm

”OK check this out. Throw the grenade. When it lands, it goes quiet. Then, activate the Nanoswarm to deploy a damaging swarm of nanobots and catch the enemy crying.I love this trick!”

Lockdown

”You’ll have to adjust your timing for the windup, but once you get this device going, it detains all enemies caught in its radius for about 8 seconds. Yeah, enemies can destroy it—except I built plenty more.”

We’re calling it - Killjoy looks strong. It seems like she’ll be able to lock down sites pretty handily, and in a manner which mixes both of Raze and Cypher’s best traits. We’re a bit worried about the turret and the robot which hides itself, though. Here’s hoping the turret doesn’t deal too much damage and acts more like a scouting tool. When it comes to the sneaky robot, it seems to pounce on enemies fast, so fast we wonder if there’s any counter play.

Riot hasn’t addressed the leak yet, but given how Act 1 is coming to a close very soon, we can’t help but wonder if they’re lining up Killjoy’s release with Act 2. We’ll bring you all the latest as soon as we hear anything - stay tuned!
