Our PUBG: Miramar guide contains tips, best places to land, vehicles and the best weapons for playing on PUBG’s desert map.

Miramar was the second PUBG map to be released, and it's one that sees players fighting for survival across a vast desert landscape. Despite some criticism from the community, we’ve found Miramar’s rocky hills and sandy cities to actually be a nice contrast to Erangel’s woodland zones.

That’s not to say there aren’t some similarities between the two, however. You’ll find the usual host of deathtraps and hotly contested locations - just as you would on Erengel - but for the most part it plays at a much slower pace. There’s more room to breathe in the mid-game in particular, encouraging more patient play and a focus on positioning. Managing your movement across the map is key to success here.

If you’re unfamiliar with Miramar, it can be difficult to avoid getting caught out in the open, sandwiched between two steep mountain tops or peppered by bullets in a busy town. There’s a lot to take in, and that’s why we’ve put together a guide that’ll help you get to grips with every aspect of the map.

Scroll down and you’ll find sections that give you an overview of Miramar in general, some decent loot locations and a few more specific tips too. After reading this article, we hope you’ll have a better chance of bagging a sun-baked Chicken Dinner!

When you’re done here, our enormous PUBG guide contains everything you could possibly need to know about the game!

Miramar: Map Overview

Miramar provides a huge space to do battle in, which makes it somewhat overwhelming for new players to drop into - especially when it’s a life or death situation. Below we’ve broken down some key aspects of the map so you can get a better idea of how best to approach it.

  • In general you should expect the large towns and cities to be the most hotly contested zones. They’ll contain the highest concentration of loot to plunder, but it’s all about whether or not you can emerge with the goodies in one piece.
  • Miramar’s a hilly map with many vast, open areas that make it easy for enemies to spot you if you’re not careful. Always consider how you’re positioned when moving across the map, so you’re not getting caught out when trekking further into the circle.
  • There are some unsuspecting deathtraps on Miramar which attract tonnes of players from the get-go. Land at Hacienda del Patron, Prison and Camp Militar for an instantaneous bloodbath.
  • Be wary whenever you’re forced to cross a bridge. Dastardly players will camp these spots and lie in wait for those racing towards the center of the circle. It’s best to cross bridges well before the circle starts constricting to avoid getting caught out - or you can always camp them yourselves!
  • Again, be wary of areas on the map that are confined within a crater so to speak. We’re talking the likes of La Bendita, Crater Fields and even El Azahar to some extent. For a start, enemies can appear on the ridges above and then shoot down upon you. There’s also only ever one or two exits, meaning that everyone’s funnelled into one space if they want to get on the move, and this can seriously impact your chances of making it out alive.
  • When you’re looting zones on the outskirts of the map, you’ll need to take into account the time it’ll take you to move back into the circle. Try and avoid spending too much time looting!

Miramar: Best places to land

Here’s a list of the best places to get geared up when you’ve just ditched the parachute.

  • Campo Militar - A very dangerous location to get started in, but one which is littered with some of the best loot in the game. Make it out alive and you’ll be more than ready to bag that Chicken Dinner.
  • Hacienda Del Patron - Quite literally, ‘the boss’s house’ and one that’s certain to provide a hectic gunfight from the moment you touch ground. It just wouldn’t be Hacienda without seeing twenty other butt-naked players desperately sprinting around looking for a weapon. Land here at your own risk!
  • Los Leones - One of the largest locations on Miramar, this is a sprawling complex filled with a mixture of high-rise buildings, small alleyways and broken concrete structures. It’s also filled with decent weapons and gear, but it’ll take you a while to scour each and every corner to obtain it. What’s more, you’re likely to encounter a fair bit of resistance along the way.
  • Minas Generales - We’ve found this to be a location that most players don’t really consider as a starting location. Have a look under the large water-tower like structures though and you’ll find a surprising amount of quality gear.
  • Pecado - Home to a casino and a mixture of buildings, this is another hotly contested area. Gather yourself before dropping here as you’ll be in a brawl straight away.
  • Prison - A notorious location that’s likely to attract many other players. While it contains some seriously powerful weapons and armour, do bear in mind that it could be quite a trek to the next circle. Loot quickly, find a vehicle, and hope to make it out alive with some of the best gear the game has to offer.

Miramar: Vehicles

There aren’t really any top vehicles spawn locations as they’re all pretty spread out. Miramar isn’t home to as many vehicles as Erangel either, so it’ll be a bit tougher to find them while traversing the map. To increase your chances of bumping into one, follow a main road, typically near some of the main cities like San Martin and El Pozo.

In terms of the vehicles you can find on Miramar, here’s a list of everything that’s available to you:

  • Buggy
  • Motorcycle (Sidecar)
  • Motorcycle
  • Pickup

  • PG-117 (Speedboat)
  • Aquarail (Jet Ski)
