Overwatch has picked up the Esports Game of the Year award as part of last night's Game Awards 2018.
It managed to overcome some stiff competition in the form of CS:GO, Dota 2, League of Legends and Fortnite - a title that's dominated gaming headlines throughout 2018.
Overwatch was also up for a handful of other awards, but lost out in these categories.
Cloud9's League of Legends team took down Overwatch's London Spitfire in the Best Esports Team category.
The League of Legends World Championship 2018 also took away the Best Esports Event accolade, beating the Overwatch League Grand Finals which took place over the summer period.
The next season of competitive play for Overwatch League kicks off on February 14th 2019, and will hope to build on the success of Year 1.
A recent preview show dedicated to next year's competition gave us our first look at the opening week of play, and more details about League in 2019 are expected throughout December.
