The Overwatch team will not have any presence at this year's E3 conference in Los Angeles, game director Jeff Kaplan confirmed on the game's official forums overnight. He also took the opportunity to confirm that there wouldn't be any new announcements about the game during this period.
This is in contrast with previous events such as last summer's Gamescom in Cologne, where the Overwatch developers took the opportunity to lift the lid on the game's first post-launch map, Eichenwalde.
It's worth noting, however, that both Gamescom and Blizzard's own BlizzCon event provide greater access for the public to go hands-on with new content, which is a likely influence given the team's desire to gain feedback from the playerbase first and foremost.
Right now, the servers are buzzing with all of the Uprising content that went live last Tuesday. With the event finishing up on 1st May - and E3 taking place the following month - we'd expect the next new Overwatch content to arrive in July at the earliest.
