The recently announced Skins in the Game feature of Overwatch League is now live in the Overwatch client.

If you're just catching up on this new promotion, you can show support for your favourite team by donning their colours (available via in-game purchases), and then taking part in your own Overwatch matches.

As you complete games in either Competitive or Quick Play, you'll earn points - unrelated to the core tournament - for your team of choice. Those points are earned whether you win or lose.

Don't worry if you need to switch hero in order to get one over the competition. As long as you used your team skin at least once during the match in question, you'll earn a point for that team. Beyond that you're free to make use of the entire hero roster.

The competition runs until May 31st, at which point the points for each League team will be totted up. As well as winning the popularity contest, the team with the most points will also get to take over the official Overwatch League Instagram account for a day.

If you want to get involved, you'll need to buy at least one League skin using 100 Overwatch League tokens. These can be earned by watching League matches on Twitch, or they can be purchased for $4.99.
