Frustrated at being unable to preserve your awesome Overwatch Highlights for all time? Do you wish there was some way of exporting them in video or data format so you could share them with the world? The good news is that Blizzard is aware of these concerns from PC players, and is thinking about how it might help them achieve a permanent record of their most exceptional performances in battle.
The issue actually arose when a user on Overwatch's official forums queried the ability to only view a single Highlight. Game Director Jeff Kaplan stepped in to clarify that a total of five Highlights from the current game session were archived - and only temporarily at that - but that there were plans to provide a way of preserving your glory for all time.
"Our hope (and what we're working toward) is to allow players to save highlights or export them to a video format someday."
Keep an eye out for this functionality in a future patch, in other words. Given Blizzard's ambition to make Overwatch a dominant force in eSports, it's no surprise to hear that they want to empower players to keep hold of game-changing plays and share them with the world.
