Blizzcon opened with an emphatic announcement of Diablo IV. An angry Scottish man leads the charge into the unknown as the supernatural and undead strike. The announcement trailer features adventurers gazing into the darkness in search of knowledge. Check it out below.
It’s worth watching it yourself - no description can do it justice. Lilith is back from Diablo 2, and we’ll be keeping you updated on the release date and guides once we know more.
Luis Barriga, the game’s director, went through what Diablo IV is all about. Darkness, World and Legacy were described as the three main tenets of the game.
Blood, gore, and goat men were promised, as well as the ability to link up with friends and foes, with co-op play and PVP zones.
When it comes to platform, Diablo IV will be on PC, PS4 and Xbox One (we imagine it'll hit Switch at some point in the future).
We got to have a look at the gameplay trailer too, which features the return of fan favourite classes: the Barbarian, Sorceress, and Druid. Their abilities were shown off as well, including the Sorceress’ ice magic and the Druid’s ability to turn into a literal bear.
It looks like we’re in for more of the same when it comes to combat, with the isometric RPG style offering and the best features from previous Diablo games complimenting one another very nicely indeed.
Keep an eye out for more of our Blizzcon news and guides, and let us know if you’re excited for Diablo IV!
