Our Resident Evil 2 Remake (2019) guide covers the demo start and end dates, the release date, system requirements and gameplay details.

A reworked version of the classic 1998 game Resident Evil 2 is due to be released for PC and consoles a little later on this month.

Significantly, the game will abandon the "tank controls" of the original, and instead opt for the sort of third-person shooter gameplay that you'll be familiar with from later entries in the series, such as the critically-acclaimed Resident Evil 4.

In this article, we've pulled together everything you need to know about the Resident Evil 2 Remake release, from details of the upcoming leaked demo, to the kind of hardware you're going to need if you want to play the game on PC.

Once the game is actually live, we'll add in links to all of our supplementary guides designed to help you beat the game, and uncover every last secret contained within it.
