Red Dead Redemption 2 Online: Open Race guide

Everything we know so far about Open Races.

One mode in Red Dead Redemption 2’s Online component sees players racing around major locations on the map - outlaw style. You’ll be facing off against other cowboys and cowgirls to see who can handle their horse the finest, and who’s got the best trigger finger. That’s right, weapons are enabled in this mode, which means you can overtake your enemies with a quick bullet to the skull if need be.

Red Dead Redemption 2’s Online mode has only just gone live (for those with the Ultimate Edition that is), so information is a little thin on the ground. With this in mind we’ve outlined everything we currently know about the game mode.

Once we’ve been able to get stuck into the beta ourselves, we’ll be updating this page with a number of tips, tricks and strategy advice for emerging number one.

When Ed's not cracking thugs with bicycles in Yakuza, he's likely swinging a badminton racket in real life. Any genre goes, but he's very into shooters and likes a weighty gun, particularly if they have a chainsaw attached to them. Adores orange and mango squash, unsure about olives.
