This article explains how to install the Realm Royale Test Server and test out all the Early Access 2 changes that have been made.
The Realm Royale developers have released a new test server upon which gameplay tweaks and changes will be tested before being rolled out to the Alpha client.
Now, some might say this is a bit weird when the whole point of an Alpha is to test out changes, but Alphas and Betas have come to mean very different things these days and the devs are likely keen to avoid potentially spoiling a game that's currently getting a lot of attention on Twitch.
By participating in games on the test server, you'll be able to help the developers improve the main client by identifying bugs to be squished, and providing general feedback on how the gameplay feels with the experimental changes in place.
How do you actually install the Realm Royale Test Server though? The good news is that's really quite easy. Just following these instructions:
- First of all go to the Steam store and then search for Realm Royale.
- Once you've done so, you'll notice a section in the game page titled “Why Early Access?”
- Just below that explainer you'll see a sentence that reads “Notice: Want to participate in the Realm Royale Public Test? Click here to install it now.
- Simply click that link and let Steam do the rest.
Something to keep in mind before you start your download is that this is a completely separate installation of the game client, and so you're going to need the necessary hard drive space (around 4GB if memory serves us correctly).
