Our Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass guide contains Daily and Weekly Challenge details, and new information on Crafting Metal and Legendary item rewards.

The team behind Apex Legends has just revealed the first news about what players can expect from Season 2. The good news is that it's a case of improvements all round for what was widely considered to be a rather lackluster Season 1.

Further detail will be revealed on the EA PLAY livestream scheduled for 10:00 PST on Saturday June 8th. For now though, we wanted to put together a quick guide that outlines everything we know about Season 2.

As new information is revealed we'll add it in here, so bookmark the page and check back soon for the latest updates.

Season 2 Overview

Here's the headline stuff that's been confirmed for Season 2 of Apex Legends so far. We'll go into more detail in the next section.

  • Daily / Weekly Challenges: Apex Legends is jumping on the well-established Fortnite format by adding daily and weekly challenges.
  • Battle Pass Levelling: The time taken to level all the way up to 100 will be reduced considerably.
  • Legendary Skins: Three more Legendary skins are being added to the pass this time.
  • Badge / Stat Tracker Rewards: These will be replaced with what is being described as “three entirely new content categories". More detail to be confirmed by the sounds of things.
  • Crafting Metal: The team promises you'll pick up enough Crafting Metal rewards from progressing through the pass to create a Legendary item.

Season 2 Daily / Weekly Challenges

Once Season 2 begins, you'll be able to level up your Battle Pass faster by taking part in Weekly and Daily Challenges.

As with Fortnite, if you don't manage to complete a Weekly Challenge in any given week you'll have the rest of Season 2 to finish it up.

Daily Challenges are conspicuous by their absence in EA's description, so you'll have to assume they don't stack. Sounds like you'll have to log in every day if you want to maximise your XP gains, but we'll confirm when we know more.

Interestingly, the team has stated that they want to avoid “wacky challenges” which dramatically alter the way the game plays.

Instead, you can expect twists somewhat gentler than Fortnite's, but which should still provide some variety between matches.

Season 2 Legendary Items

As mentioned in the overview, three extra Legendary items are being added to the Battle Pass for Season 2.

You'll also receive a Legendary item for each 25 levels you achieve in the premium pass. They're awarded at Levels 1, 25, 50, 75 and 100.

The Level 100 reward is described as “an evolving weapon skin”. There'll also be a special recolored version of it for anyone who manages to hit Level 110 during Season 2.

Season 2: Guaranteed Legendary

Voice Lines are being removed and will be replaced with Crafting Metal rewards in Season 2.

You'll be able to earn at least 1,200 Crafting Metal by working through the Season 2 Battle Pass, which will allow you to craft whatever Legendary item you most desire for your collection.

That's it for the first edition of our Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass guide. We expect to have more information for you once the EA PLAY event is under way, so check back soon for another update.
