Mark your calendars - Legends of Runeterra is to officially launch on PC and Mobile.

Since January 2020, Riot has been tweaking and perfecting the balance of its endeavor in the card game sphere. Legends of Runeterra is an online card game set in the League of Legends universe, and it’s become a favourite amongst fans for its faithfulness to the base game, but even for non-LoL players, there’s a lot to enjoy.

Legends of Runeterra full release date announced

Legends of Runeterra brings with it a slightly more complex form of strategy than what our readers may be used to, often being described as something of a midpoint between Hearthstone and Magic: The Gathering. You’re fighting in phases, with each player able to respond to the other’s actions when they’re made. It’s well worth checking out, especially since we’ve got guides galore for it!

When does Legends of Runeterra release?

Legends of Runeterra’s full release will be on April 30th for the PC, as well as Android and iOS Mobile devices.

It’ll be totally cross-platform, and your whole card collection will stick around if you’ve played the Open Beta already.

Will there be any new stuff for Open Beta players?

For launch, an entirely new card set is coming out. On the 28th of April, just before the official launch, we’ll be getting over 120 new cards, including a whole-new Region. This’ll boost the total number of cards in the game to over 400 - but we’ve got a guide on how that progression will actually work.

For more information, we've answered all the FAQs regarding Legends of Runeterra’s release. Here’s hoping we’ll see some exciting new cards and a big playerbase - we’ve been having tons of fun with the game so far.
