About Ed Thorn

Ed will not rest until a new Wario Land is announced.

Our Legends of Runeterra: Champion cards list details every Champion card’s stats from all Regions in the game.

If you’re looking for a rundown of the best decks Legends of Runeterra has to offer, check out our Legends of Runeterra Best Decks page!

Legends of Runeterra is Riot’s take on a competitive card game, so it’ll come as no surprise that some of the best cards are Champions from League of Legends. There’s only a handful from each region, but they’re super powerful and have the potential to completely swing a game in your favour.

Below we’ve listed all of the Champion cards in Legends of Runeterra so far, and we’ll continue to update this page as Riot tinkers with their stats and adds more.

One final note - We'd highly recommend having a glance at our Legends of Runeterra Keywords - What do they mean? guide as it'll give you a better idea of what all of these terms mean.

  • Level Up Condition - Last Breath (These abilities take effect when you die) “Revive me transformed into Eggnivia.”
  • Levelled Up Stats - 7 Mana, 3/5, Attack: Deal 2 to all enemies. Retains Last Breath Eggnivia ability too.

Eggnivia: 1 Mana, 0/2, Start of Round: If you're enlightened, transform me back into Anivia and Level Up.

Why was she changed?

The devs weren't fans of the way Anivia could be leveled up with "almost no chance for the opponent to interact". Their aim is to preserve her copy/sacrifice synergy while giving opponents a more consistent opportunity to react. By reworking her into an Enlightened deck, we think she'll have a clearer role as a control/ramp finisher. Finally, her inability to block has been removed as it didn't fit her thematically, and her stats have been changed to support her "ice-wall feel" and "roadblock playstyle".

Tryndamere

OLD (Closed Beta Stage)

  • Mana Cost - 8
  • Power - 8
  • Life - 4
  • Keyword - Overwhelm [Excess damage I deal to my blocker is dealt to the enemy Nexus.]
  • Level Up Condition - “If I would die, I Level Up instead.”
  • Levelled Up Stats - 8 Mana, 9/9, with Overwhelm, Fearsome (Can only be blocked by enemies with 3 or more Attack) and Tough (Takes 1 less damage from all sources).

NEW (Open Beta Stage)

  • Mana Cost - 8
  • Power - 8
  • Life - 4
  • Keyword - Overwhelm [Excess damage I deal to my blocker is dealt to the enemy Nexus.]
  • Level Up Condition - “If I would die, I Level Up instead.”
  • Levelled Up Stats - 8 Mana, 9/9, with Overwhelm and Fearsome (Can only be blocked by enemies with 3 or more Attack).

What's changed? - Tryndamere's "Tough" keyword has been removed from his Level 2 form. He was simply a tad too difficult to deal with, and it should give midrange decks a better shot at taking him down.

  • Power - 3
  • Life - 2
  • Keyword/Attacks - Quick Attack [When attacking, strikes before its blocker.] Attack: Create an attacking Living Shadow with my stats.

NEW (Open Beta Stage)

  • Mana Cost - 5
  • Power - 5
  • Life - 5
  • Keywords/Attacks - Attack: For each other attacking ally, deal 1 to it and 1 to the enemy Nexus.
  • Level Up Condition - “You’ve had 6+ allies survive damage.”
  • Levelled Up Stats - 5 Mana, 6/6, with Regeneration (Heals fully at the start of each round) and Attack: For each other attacking ally, deal 1 to it and 1 to the enemy Nexus.

What's changed? - The only thing that's changed here is the "other" in Vlad's level up condition. His level up progress was "weirdly inconsistent" across copied of himself. This small buff corrects the issue.

Darius

  • Mana Cost - 6
  • Power - 6
  • Life - 5
  • Keywords/Attacks - Overwhelm [Excess damage I deal to my blocker is dealt to the enemy Nexus.]
  • Level Up Condition - “The enemy Nexus has 10 or less Health.”

  • Levelled Up Stats - 3 Mana, 2/4, with Elusive and Nexus Strike: Create a Fleeting 0 cost Mystic Shot. When you cast a spell, deal 2 to the enemy Nexus.

NEW (Open Beta Stage)

  • Mana Cost - 3
  • Power - 1
  • Life - 3
  • Keywords/Attacks - Elusive [Can only be blocked by an Elusive unit.] Nexus Strike: Create a Fleeting Mystic Shot in hand.

  • Levelled Up Stats - 3 Mana, 2/4, with Elusive and Nexus Strike: Create a Fleeting Mystic Shot. When you cast a spell, deal 2 to the enemy Nexus.

What's been changed? - His Level 2 now generates Fleeting Mystic Shots which cost mana, instead of costing nothing. Leaving this mana cost on his Fleeting Mystic Shot is unlikely to impact him early and should keep him from ending games a little too quickly.

Update Watchlist

In this section, we'll keep you up to date on all the developer thoughts, intentions and otherwise.

Deny (and a dash of Elusive)

Deny is a key card that helps keep LoR an interactive game, but its sheer efficiency can also create the opposite effect—making it hard to interact favorably against decks that play it. This is obviously the whole point of Deny, but it can be particularly problematic in conjunction with strategies that demand prompt interaction in order to survive (such as Elusive-heavy builds).

We're currently exploring potential changes to Deny that would maintain its role, but in a more balanced way. One option is increasing Deny’s mana cost, but there are obviously significant implications to bringing it out of the “can be cast with only spell mana” range.

Regarding those previously mentioned Elusive strategies: we’ve seen them be quite strong (though not definitively out-of-line), but it’s difficult to identify exactly which cards are potentially problematic. Just removing Elusive from units doesn’t necessarily help, since the keyword actually increases in power if it appears less frequently across competitive decks (less incentive to bring the right removal, and fewer Elusive blockers). We’re continuing to keep watch, and we’ll take exploratory action if we 1) determine it’s necessary, and 2) find a good candidate through internal testing.
