In Legends of Runeterra, you can farm XP by challenging friends. Here’s how.
Whilst you can’t get infinite progression through this method, it’s possible to level up and unlock more cards super fast thanks to this handy strategy.

How to farm XP in Legends of Runeterra
For this, you’ll need two things: Legends of Runeterra and a friend.
We didn’t have the latter, so we got a work colleague to set up an account instead.
All you have to do is add each other on Riot by clicking in the top right side of the screen and typing their summoner name and region. Then, once your friend has accepted, click their name and ‘Challenge’. Once they accept, choose any deck and get playing.

However, you’re actually able to gain XP rewards from each individual match, so you don’t technically need to play out the whole game. Instead, one of you can surrender immediately, rewarding you both with XP (although the winner will still get more).
We’ve got more information on how much XP you’ll be able to earn per day on our Legends of Runeterra Progression page, but if the mood strikes you, you can challenge a pal and grind out match XP as much as you want, each day.
Obviously, this isn’t the ideal way to play, and it’s far from fun. If you’re desperate for some quick XP though, this is a solid way to go about it.
