Riot Games has released four new images, all of which seem to be teasing at an upcoming new Champion.

The images have surfaced on the official League of Legends Universe site which covers everything lore related. They all fall under the title “Visions of Demacia” and contain an unknown chain-wielding Champion seemingly tethering other heroes against their own will.

The clearest picture so far depicts this champion as a tyrannical leader sitting atop their throne, which suggests that this unknown hero isn’t exactly welcome in the proud region of Demacia. Other images share the same theme, with Lux and Garen being restrained by chains while they can only stand by and watch the devastation of their home.

Just going by the whole chains theme, we’d put money on this new champion having some serious crowd control abilities. We’re thinking stuns, pull-backs and long range whip attacks.

This isn’t the first we’ve seen of the new champion, either. All the way back in August 2018 lead champion designer “Reav3” shared an image of two golden chains emerging from the shadows.

At the time Riot clearly stated that there was “no release date in sight” as it was still in the early stages of development. Well, a few months have gone by at this point, and so we wouldn’t be surprised if we learn more about this “chain person” (our very unofficial name) soon.
