Ed's a huge fan of rushing B in CS:GO and grinding it out in Destiny 2. He will not rest until a new Wario Land is announced.

Fans of League’s esports scene will be mightily pleased with Riot’s latest offering. It’s introducing two unique passes which will reward players for tuning into matches and playing games.

Starting on May 31st, players will be able to purchase either a Fan or Team Pass depending on their region.

First up, the Fan Pass. It’s exclusive to Brazil, Turkey, Latin America, Japan and Oceania, and will cost 980 RP in the in-game store.

Riot describes it as a “purchasable set of premium missions” that will give extra rewards for watching matches and playing League. The pass will also have a 50% revenue share with all teams in this region’s pro league.

The Team Pass is launching on the same date, with the same price for players based in Europe and North America, but features some slightly different benefits.

Those who own the Team Pass can select one team to support for the duration of the Summer Split, and watching your favourite team’s matches will complete missions that will unlock in-game cosmetic loot.

Players who tune into the LEC and LCS are in luck too, as you can purchase one of both Team Passes with 50% of the revenue also going towards supporting your chosen teams.

Cosmetic rewards for both passes include the likes of team icons, emotes, ward skins, chromas, Blue Esssence, Key Fragments and Masterwork Chests, so there’s a lot on offer here.
