Our League of Legends Snowdown 2018 event guide contains everything you need to know about the Christmas event, including new skins, missions, and more.

League of Legends’ Snowdown 2018 event has just begun and this means from now until January 7th, you can earn new skins, chromas, loot, rewards and more. It’s certainly the season to be jolly.

There’s a lot to digest for those who aren’t familiar with the Snowdown event, so we thought it would be a good idea to break down all the new features and loot rewards that have arrived in League’s version of Christmas.

Snowdown 2018: Overview

Below we've broken down all of Snowdown 2018's key details.

Start and End Date

Snowdown runs from 6th December 2018 until the 7th January 2019.

Skins

Here are all the new Snowdown skins:

  • Winter Wonder Neeko
  • Snow Man Yi
  • Winter Wonder Soraka
  • Frozen Prince Mundo
  • Ice King Twitch

K/DA Akali Prestige Edition

To unlock this rare version of the skin, you’ll need to earn 1800 Snowdown tokens. Essentially, you’ll need to spend a lot of time and money to nab this one.

Golden Chromas and Icons

Graves, Irelia, Malzahar, Sivir and Bard all have golden skins over their previous Snowdown outfits.

Snowdown 2018 Borders, Icons, Capsules and more

As per usual, there are a bunch of loading screen border and icons for the Snowdown skins which we’ve listed above. You can also purchase these from the skin bundles in the shop.

Of course, there are a bunch of craftable wards, emotes, icons and Capsule Packs which will reward you with tonnes of Tokens and rewards.

Snowdown Tokens and Nexus Tokens

Complete missions and you’ll earn both of these currencies. There’s also a separate mission tree for Nexus Blitz missions which awards an additional 101 Nexus Tokens in total.

Snowdown Tokens - Can be crafted into Snowdown loot.

Nexus Tokens - Crafts into Nexus Blitz recall effects, finishers, and poro pets for ARAM and Nexus Blitz.

Nexus Blitz Game Mode

The popular PVE mode returns for Snowdown, with Poro skins enabled via summoner icons for the duration of the event and some balance tweaks too.

Play this mode, earn Nexus Tokens and you can spend them on three things:

  • Poro Pets
  • Nexus Blitz Finishers
  • Recall Effects

Check out our Nexus Blitz guide for a quick overview of the mode, and make sure you head on over to Riot's official page for a complete breakdown of all the tweaks and changes.
