League of Legends: How to get more rune pages

Here's how to get hold of more rune pages in League of Legends.

Our League of Legends: How to get rune pages guide breaks down everything you need to know about acquiring additional rune pages in the MOBA from Riot Games. We take a look at the preset Rune Pages in the game, plus the steps you need to take to open up more Rune Pages and how you can customise them.

In League of Legends, your choices of Runes allow you some room to customise the play style of your chosen champion. They don’t drastically alter your abilities but provide you with some additional skills and quirks that emphasise strengths, make up for weaknesses or offer some supplementary utility.

When you first start playing League of Legends with a fresh Level 1 account, five preset Rune Pages are given to you that can’t be edited. These choices are handy go-to options for five of the game’s most defined roles so you can jump into a match without having to worry too much about your Runes. They are as follows:

  • Inspiration: The Timeless - For AP damage dealers and spellcasters
  • Precision: The Perfect - For ADC champions
  • Domination: The Executioner - For assassins and burst damage dealers
  • Resolve: The Colossus - For tanks and tanky bruiser champions
  • Sorcery: The Calamity - For spell-based support champions

These five will be perfectly suited to your first forays into Summoner’s Rift but after some time when your understanding of the game grows, you’ll want to jump in to make your own Page to better suit your own prefered play style.

All League of Legends accounts are given two empty slots for personalised Rune Pages. You can begin creating and editing your own Rune Pages once you hit Summoner Level 11, although you’re limited to just the Keystone Rune. At Summoner Level 13 you can edit the Primary path and at Summoner Level 15 you gain access to the Secondary path, allowing customisation of the full Rune Page.

How to get more Rune Pages in League of Legends

Although you only begin with two Rune Pages, you can purchase additional Pages for 590 Riot Points or 6300 Blue Essence. In terms of real money, that represents around $4.50, €3.49 or £4.00. Any Rune Pages you may have purchased in the previous Rune system are also carried over, so you will not need to rebuy them for Runes Reforged.

There is currently a limit of 25 Rune Pages per account, not include the five preset Rune Pages. These preset Rune Pages can also be hidden from view should you no longer wish to see them on the selection menu.

That about covers it – now all you need to do is build a Rune Page for yourself! Handily, we’ve got an in-depth look at all the available Runes in League of Legends and some of the best Rune Pages you can build for each role over on our full League of Legends Runes guide.
