The HCT World Championship Finals will take place at the Beurs van Berlage Conference Centre in Amsterdam. The competition runs from Thursday 18th January 2018 until Sunday 21st January.

Sixteen players will be competing in Amsterdam for a piece of the $1,000,000 prize pool on offer. Twelve of those players have already been confirmed based on their performances in the Winter, Spring and Summer Championship tournaments. The remaining four - one per region - will earn a spot based on the highest achieved HCT points.

As well as watching the world's best players go head to head on the game's biggest stage, those attending the final leg of this year's flagship Hearthstone tournament will be able to take part in tournaments on-site, and will also unlock this special card back:

This weekend's HCT Summer Championship tournament saw four more competitors make it to the finals, with Surrender taking home the top prize of $60,000 along with his spot at next year's big event.

The announcement of next January's event leaves BlizzCon without a major Hearthstone tournament finale, but there'll still be some kind of competitive action to enjoy at next month's global fan-gathering. The so-called Hearthstone Inn-vitational will see four teams of three competitors battle across a number of different formats over the three-day event.
