Hearthstone has hit a new audience milestone this week, with 100 million players having now played the game across all platforms.

To celebrate, Blizzard has announced a new giveaway that will reward players with six free Boomsday Project packs, just for logging into the game.

The promotion begins on 7th November at 5:00pm GMT and will run until an undisclosed time on 11th November.

There'll be the chance to bag some bonus in-game gold as well. All players who have unlocked Daily Quests in Hearthstone will receive a new quest called Celebrate the Players when the promotion begins.

To complete Celebrate the Players you'll need to challenge a friend. When the match is over you'll both receive 100 gold, and the quest can be repeated a total of five times. Just make sure you have a Daily Quest slot spare when the promotion rolls around.

Hearthstone's tenth expansion - Rastakhan's Rumble - was announced at BlizzCon last week, and will add another 135 new cards to the game, along with a new Overkill mechanic which rewards playing for doing unnecessary extra damage to targeted minions.

There'll also be a new single-player component to the expansion called Rumble Run. This marks a return to the roguelike format established with Kobolds and Catacombs, and developed further in The Witchwood. As you work your way through a series of encounters, you'll gradually add new cards to your deck to make it increasingly powerful.

Rastakhan's Rumble is scheduled for release on Tuesday 4th December. Our Rastakhan's Rumble guide contains everything you need to get up to speed on the latest developments for Hearthstone.
