The popular Choose Your Champion promotion is returning to Hearthstone, allowing players to earn card packs by pledging their support to players as they progress through the tournament.

The way it works is pretty simple. First of all you need to head over to the official Choose Your Champion page, and then choose the player you think has the potential to go the furthest in the competition. Just keep in mind that once you've made your choice you can't change your mind.

You'll immediately earn one Boomsday Project card pack just for signing up, but there's the potential to pick up another three if your chosen players makes it all the way through the quarterfinals, then semifinals, and then into the final itself.

Cards packs will be digitally delivered to accounts shortly after the Fall Championship concludes, and you have until 11:59pm PDT on October 10th to sign up and - hopefully - pick a winner.

The Fall Championship itself runs from 11th-14th October, with 16 players competing to take home the grand prize of $50,000.

Here's how the tournament schedule looks at the moment. The first matches begin each day at 8:30am PDT.

  • 11th October - Group Stage
  • 12th October - Group Stage
  • 13th October - Elimination and Decider matches
  • 14th October - Playoffs

The tournament will be streamed online on the official Hearthstone Twitch channel, but tickets are still available if you'd like to attend the tournament live at the Blizzard Arena in Los Angeles. Head to the official ticket page if you'd like to grab yourself a seat.
