China has won this year's Hearthstone Global Games in triumphant fashion, beating co-finalists Brazil 3-0 in the final match held at this year's annual BlizzCon fan gathering in Anaheim, Los Angeles.

The achievement marks a significant milestone for the team, who were knocked out of last year's tournament by the Czech Republic during the quarterfinal stage.

Both Brazil and China brought Deathrattle Hunter to the opening match, but China proved the superior pilot of the deck. A Quest Mage concoction in the second match made light work of Brazil's Taunt Warrior, before China wrapped up the final match with another win against Murloc Mage using the tried and tested Zoo Warlock.

It's been a triumphant end to the year for Chinese esports. In addition to the Hearthstone Global Games victory, Invictus Gaming won the annual League of Legends Worlds tournament yesterday morning.

Although the national team couldn't overcome the rampant South Koreans in the Overwatch World Cup final yesterday evening, their run through the tournament nevertheless represented a considerable show of strength.
