The best Standard Hearthstone decks you can ladder with in Season 47 (February 2018), with deck lists and guides for playing each one.
Here we are at the halfway point of the Kobolds and Catacombs meta, and we're right on the threshold of a series of nerfs that are about to hit Patches the Pirate, Corridor Creeper, Bonemare and Raza the Chained pretty hard.
Once that happens, we expect the meta to be shaken up pretty significantly, as the first three of those cards are featured in a huge number of competitive decks right now. It remains to be seen whether or not different versions of those decks maintain their dominance, or if those decks that have struggled to keep up this expansion will find a new lease of life.
For now, we've been busy updating our core collection of guides based on the pre-nerf lists that are currently seeing the most play. As soon as the patch goes live we'll begin the process of refining each one to reflect the latest changes.
It'll take a little while for the new meta to smooth itself out though, so please bear with us as we attempt to keep up with what'll no doubt be a busy few weeks on the Standard ladder.
With that out of the way though, here's how the meta looks at this stage of Season 47.

Best Druid decks for the Standard ladder
Aggro and Jade Druid are by far and away the best decks for the hero in the first full month of the Kobolds meta. There are other options in the form of Big and Quest Druid, but they all languish very much in the bottom half of the overall tier list right now. The experimental Spiteful Druid suffers from consistency issues, but is a fun deck to try out if you happen to have the cards.

Best Hunter decks for the Standard ladder
Face Hunter's very much back in fashion if you'd started to miss this old favourite! Although Midrange Hunter was the default second choice for some time, you're now better off piloting Secret or Spell Hunter. Just be aware that both these decks are considerably less powerful than pure aggro in the current meta.

Best Mage decks for the Standard ladder
No big changes for Mage in the Kobolds expansion. Secret - or Tempo - Mage remains the dominant archetype. Big Spell Mage was one of the decks we really wanted to see thrive, but it just hasn't happened so far. Although it's a tough deck to climb with, we've also made sure our Quest Mage guide is up to date.
Best Paladin decks for the Standard ladder
Aggro Paladin and Murloc Paladin are both jostling for top spot at the moment and represent very strong ways to climb the Standard ladder this month. Control and Exodia Paladin are back - for now - but should not be consider top-tier competitive decks by any means. Regardless, we'll have updates for both of these articles in the coming days.
Best Priest decks for the Standard ladder
As predicted, Highlander Priest remains the most powerful option for Priest in January, although the Big and Spiteful Summoner Priest archetypes are perfectly valid and competitive ways of ranking this month as well. Dragon Priest is another fine option, particular if you have experience playing around with the Divine Spirit / Inner Fire combo.
Best Rogue decks for the Standard ladder
Tempo Rogue remains a Tier 1 deck and the best option for the hero in January. The other options we've listed here sit a fair bit further down in the overall rankings, so it's pretty much Tempo or bust for Rogue mains until the meta changes.

Best Shaman decks for the Standard ladder
Aggro Shaman joins Face Hunter in a return to the Hearthstone meta, and we've given our old deck guide a much needed makeover for the new meta. Evolve Shaman is certainly hanging in there as well though, so stick to that option if you can't handle too much face fighting on your way up the ladder.

Best Warlock decks for the Standard ladder
Cubelock is enjoying a huge amount of play at the moment, and is arguably the strongest deck for the hero right now. Not far behind is Control Warlock though, and Zoo is still very much a thing in 2018.

Best Warrior decks for the Standard ladder
Things are pretty ho-hum for the Warrior right now. Pirate Warrior is very much a mid-table affair at this stage of the Kobolds meta, and Control Warrior falls even further down the rankings. We'll update our guide to that latter archetype in the next few days though.
