Hearthstone Rise of the Mechs Guide - Card buffs, Arena changes & more

Everything you need to know about the Boomsday revival.

Blizzard recently announced an upcoming Hearthstone event known as Rise of the Mechs.

In this new period of competitive play, the devs have announced plans to buff a selection of cards from the Boomsday Project set.

This is the first time we've seen the team retroactively improve the fortunes of older cards, and we're excited to see what new life these changes can breathe into the Hearthstone meta.

To help you get on top of all these changes we've outlined everything you need to know about the new event.

Start and End Dates

The Rise of the Mechs event begins on June 3rd and officially ends on July 1st.

New Card: SN1P-SN4P

A new card is also being added to the game to mark the arrival of Rise of the Mechs.

SN1P-SN4P is a 3 Mana 2 / 3 Mech. He has Magnetic, Echo, and a Deathrattle that summons two 1 / 1 Microbots.

If you log in to Hearthstone during the event, you'll receive a Golden copy of SN1P-SN4P for free.

If you fail to log in during this time, you can still craft him at a later date for 1600 Dust, as you would with any other Legendary card.

You'll only be able to get the Golden version by logging in during Rise of the Mechs. Otherwise you can only craft the Normal version.

SN1P-SN4P will rotate out of Standard alongside the Boomsday Project next year, but he will not drop from Boomsday Project card packs.

Card changes

Each Hearthstone class will have two of its signature cards from the Boomsday set improved.

These changes will be permanent, and so you may see some of the updated cards stay in the meta until the whole Boomsday set rotates out of Standard next year. Let's see how well the improved versions do first.

Note: The majority of these changes involve a reduction of Mana cost. In those cases we've listed the new Mana cost, with the current Mana cost right after.
