Heart of the Sunwell strategy guide

How would you like to start a match with ten Mana?

It's another Wednesday, and that means it's time for a brand-new Tavern Brawl to hit the servers. This week's slice of madness is already live in the EU region, with other regions due to follow suit in the next few hours.

Here's our quick guide to what you can expect from this week's tantalising encounter.

What's the theme of this week's Tavern Brawl?

This week's Tavern Brawl is called Heart of the Sunwell and spices the game up by letting each player begin the match with a whopping 10 Mana crystals. The Mana ceiling hasn't changed at all after that, but it's one way of letting players jump straight into the deep end of play...

Here's what the flavour text for the event says:

"In the Sunwell lies unlimited power, and that power is yours! Start each game with 10 Mana and see what you can do with it."

What are the rewards for completing Heart of the Sunwell?

Players who win their first match in Heart of the Sunwell will once again receive a free Classic card pack for their efforts. Just like previous weeks, you can only get this reward once. After you've won your first match, you're only playing for bragging rights - and the fun of the Brawl's flavour, of course.

Heart of the Sunwell tips and tricks

- We reckon every Hero is going to be viable this week, particularly if you have a robust card collection to pick and choose from. Removal may well end up being the key differentiator in matches this time around though. Think about what removal options you have (Warrior's Execute, Priest's Mind Control, Mage's Polymorph etc.), and make sure you make plenty of room for them in your decks.

- Packing at least one Big Game Hunter into your deck feels like a no-brainer. We expect many players - initially at least - to field the biggest beasts they own right off the bat.

- Alexstrasza is an extremely powerful card to include, although naturally she provides the greatest benefit when used very early on in the match.

-Priest will likely be a strong contender this week, due to the Hero's generous selection of removal options - Shadow Word: Death, Big Game Hunter, Mind Control and the like.

We'll update this section with more tips for this week's rumble in the hours ahead. Let us know what's working for you in the comments section below, and we'll add all of your best tips and strategies to this article.

What's the schedule for this week's Tavern Brawl?

Just like in previous weeks, Heart of the Sunwell will only be live until the evening of Sunday 26th July, so get your games in before then if you want to bag your free pack of cards.
