Our Lady in White Priest deck guide explains how the archetype might work, and will be updated with a full deck list, tips, synergies and card combos when The Witchwood launches.
Lady in White is one of our favourite cards revealed for The Witchwood so far. Not only does it borrow a little bit of flavour from the currently very popular combo / Dragon priest archetype, it empowers a few existing decks further, while also opening up some theorycrafting space for new decks that are built entirely around her exceptional Battlecry.
Once every card has been revealed from The Witchwood set - and we've had a chance to pilot a few decks for ourselves in the live game - we'll have a much better picture of how viable such a deck might be. Until then, we wanted to highlight some of the more interesting card interactions for this archetype.
When we have full lists for you to play with, we'll update this article with all the latest creations. We'll also add in our usual advice on how to actually play the deck once the expansion is under way!

Lady in White
The Lady in White automatically gifts all minions left in your deck the Inner Fire effect. That is to say, they all gain Attack value that's equal to their Health. Great news when it comes to the kind of sturdy but feeble minions that exist in Hearthstone's card collection.
She has a natural home in existing archetypes such as Dragon / Combo Priest and Control Priest, where she'll provide a welcome boost to your game whenever she happens to show up. Her stats aren't terrible and her effect is strong, so it'll be hard to deny her a place in your deck of choice.
There are opportunities to build decks that really dig deep into that special Battlecry though, and so we wanted to highlight a few upcoming and existing cards that could prove very useful to the Lady in White.
- 1. Descent of Dragons - Hearthstone: Descent of Dragons guide
- 2. Tier List - Hearthstone deck tier list (Descent of Dragons)
- 3. Best Dragons - 5 Best Dragons in Descent of Dragons
- 4. Albatross Priest - Albatross Priest deck list guide (Descent of Dragons)
- 5. Silence Priest - Galakrond Dragon Priest deck list guide (Descent of Dragons)
- 6. Quest Resurrect Priest - Quest Resurrect Priest deck list guide (Descent of Dragons)
- 7. Quest Priest - Quest Priest deck list guide (Descent of Dragons)
- 8. Combo Priest - Combo Priest deck list guide (Descent of Dragons)
- 9. Quest Wall Priest - Quest Wall Priest deck list guide (Descent of Dragons)
The following cards from the upcoming seem likely to have big value in a deck built around the Lady in White:
- Witchwood Grizzly
- Swift Messenger
- Gilnean Royal Guard
- Mossy Horror
There are loads of legitimately dreadful cards that you could bung into a Lady in White Priest deck (such as Mogu'shan Warden), but you're probably best off sticking to those that are already useful. That way they're still good draws even if the Lady doesn't show up until later on in the match:
- Stonehill Defender
- Northshire Cleric
- Tar Creeper
That ends the first edition of our Lady in White deck guide. We'll add in any suitable Witchwood cards that are revealed, and also bring you the latest full deck lists once we can start theorycrafting properly.
