Fortnite’s latest patch has added a new Proximity Grenade Launcher, Horde Rush Limited Time Mode and an assortment of tweaks and bug fixes.
Projectiles fired from the Proximity Grenade Launcher will bounce off surfaces and explode when an enemy is nearby. This makes it an ideal tool for flushing out pesky campers.
Here’s a look at the new weapon in action:
There’s also a new Horde Rush Limited Time Mode which is due to arrive on the 13th of June. It’s a four player co-op mode divided up into stages, where you’ll be fending off Fortnite Fiends across the map while scavenging for materials and weapons, building defenses and racking up points.
It’s not all about holding one position, though. You’ll need to travel across the map and defend multiple “defense points” in the hopes of reaching the final stage. Reach the last point and you’ll face off against a Boss Fiend and his horde of minions.
Elsewhere, there are many tweaks to weapon and item availabilities across the map as well as small adjustments to the Storm Flip item too.
