Fortnite’s latest V7.10 patch introduces a brand new Suppressed Sniper Rifle, the return of the 14 Days of Fortnite event, and the usual host of rebalances and tweaks.
As the name suggests the Suppressed Sniper Rifle is a single shot, scoped sniper rifle which makes far less noise than its unmuzzled counterparts. It’s available in Epic and Legendary variants, and deals a whopping 100/105 base damage.
The 14 Days of Fortnite event has been extended for a limited time, so you can go ahead and complete any challenges you may have missed out on over Christmas and the new year period.
For those curious as to why it’s suddenly making a return, it’s all thanks to a little miscommunication on the part of Epic Games.
The publisher recently gave players the wrong end date for the original LTM, compensating players with the Equalizer Glider at first, before deciding that bringing back the whole shebang was probably a better idea. As always, it's been well handled by the folks at Epic.
Other notable patch highlights include a brand new community creation at The Block. It’s a Deathmatch Arena made by KojackNumber2, which will no doubt act as a stage for some intense shootouts.
The Six Shooter revolver has been vaulted, as well as Uncommon, Common and Rare versions of the Burst Assault Rifle. In contrast, the Dual Pistols have been unvaulted and you’ll find them scattered across the map like the good old days.
A few other adjustments and bug fixes have also been applied, and you can see them all over on the official blog post.
