Ed's a huge fan of rushing B in CS:GO and grinding it out in Destiny 2. He will not rest until a new Wario Land is announced.

Fortnite’s latest update has added the Junk Rift item, a tool which looks perfect for destroying any mechs looking to tango.

Chuck the Junk Rift item and after a short delay it’ll spawn a large object in the sky that’ll plummet to the ground. Anything unfortunate enough to be caught in its path will be destroyed, and it’ll also create a small shockwave upon impact which knocks players back.

Here’s a look at the Junk Rift in action:

In light of the recent backlash against Fortnite Season 10's mechs, the Junk Rift item will be welcomed by players who may finally feel like there’s some counterplay to the missile-launching titans.

Elsewhere in the patch, Glitched Consumables will now appear at the explosion site. These randomly switch between different forageable items from past seasons, including apples, mushrooms, Hop Rocks, and Shadow Stones.

For all the other gameplay tweaks and bug fixes, make sure you head on over to Fortnite’s official patch notes page.
