Epic Games has released the first details for Week 3 of the Fortnite Fall Skirmish. The format for this week is called King Pin.

In King Pin, players work in pairs within the Duo format across a series of six matches. Points are awarded for both eliminations and finishing positions in each of these matches, and prize money will be awarded based on each pair's overall ranking at the end of this week's period of competitive play.

Here's a breakdown of how points will be determined across each match:

  • Victory Royale: +3 Points
  • 2nd-3rd Place: +2 Points
  • 4th-5th Place: +1 Point
  • 7+ Eliminations: +3 Points
  • 5-6 Eliminations: +2 Points
  • 3-4 Eliminations: +1 Point

In addition to this baseline scoring system, Duos can also pick up a bonus points modifier for their next match by triggering certain achievements:

  • Victory Royale: 2 x Points Earned Next Match
  • 7+ Eliminations: 2 x Points Earned Next Match.

Start Date and Time

The start date for Week 3 of the Fortnite Fall Skirmish is Friday 5th October 2018.

The first matches will start at 12:00pm ET, which is 5:00pm BST and 6:00pm CEST.

All matches will be streamed on the official Fortnite Twitch channel, which we've embedded for you right here:

As well as the core tournament play, competitors can also take part in this week's Trial which is titled “Lazy Links Tour”.

The organisers describe this as “a Lazy Links golf challenge” but there's no more detail than that at present. It's likely that this bonus event won't be streamed on Twitch, as has been the case in previous weeks.

Each player taking part in the Fall Skirmish is a permanent member of one of five Clubs. By taking part in this bonus event, players will be able to earn extra points for their Club and earn additional prizes.

Here's how the Club rankings looking ahead of Week 3.

  • Bush Bandits: 1,615 Points
  • Fort Knights: 1,090 Points
  • Dusty Dogs: 1,025 Points
  • Rift Raiders: 1,020 Points
  • Lucky Llamas: 780 Points

Week 3 marks the halfway point for the Fortnite Fall Skirmish. By the time the final sixth week has concluded, Epic will have dished up a whopping $10,000,000 in prize money for the game's biggest competition of 2018 so far.
