On this page you'll find a concept video for first person mode in Fortnite: Battle Royale, with the latest response from Epic on the matter.
Ever wanted to play Fortnite: Battle Royale in first-person mode, rather than the third-person viewpoint we've always been forced to use by default?
If so, then we think you're going to absolutely love the video that was recently released by YouTuber DanMak. In it, they show off a first-person concept for Battle Royale that looks absolutely stunning.
Check it out below:
Fortnite: Battle Royale lags behind the competition a little when it comes to implementing a first-person mode. The feature has been available in PUBG since last August, and following a great deal of clamour from the community. While it takes a little bit of getting used to, it's fast become the default mode for professional competitions.
Although this isn't an officially endorsed take on what first-person mode in Fortnite would look like, it's an excellently produced tease of what might be instore if Epic ever decides to implement the feature.
On that front though, you probably shouldn't hold your breath. According to a post on the official forums, Epic doesn't feel it's necessarily a fit for the game, although it rules nothing out for the future:
“We’re not planning to add a first-person option,” it reads. “We don’t feel it fits with the design style of Fortnite. We may revisit in the future.”
What do you think? Would you like to see first-person added to Fortnite: Battle Royale, or do you think the viewpoint is fine as it is, and should remain standard between all players? Tell us what you think in the comments.
