Bungie has announced it will release an update alongside the Curse of Osiris expansion next month which will address a number of known issues within Destiny 2.

The news was confirmed in the latest of Bungie’s official blog posts, and the post details exactly what issues it plans on fixing. It also provides further support for players receiving “Buffalo” errors on PC.

Below we’ve listed the following issues that will be addressed in next month’s Destiny Update 1.1.0 and Hotfix 1.1.1.

  • Faction Rally Tokens: We have identified an issue where Faction Rally tokens are removed when players create new characters within Destiny 2. We are seeking to resolve this issue prior to the first Faction Rallies event of Season 2.
  • "Leviathan" Raid: Calus may sometimes become immune to damage during the final phase of the encounter.
  • Black Screen when Loading into the Tower: Players may sometimes encounter a black screen when loading into the Tower. This may resolve itself after one minute, or players may workaround this issue by visiting an alternate destination and loading into the Tower once more.
  • Bright Engram Ornaments: Sweet Business and Sturm ornaments within the Bright Engram may display “Already added to Collection” before a player acquires these items. This issue does not prevent players from earning these items.
  • Hunter Survivalist Perk: The Survivalist perk on legendary Hunter leg armor does not grant the intended Recovery stats.

Bungie’s latest Hotfix 1.0.7.1 was deployed on PC to address Buffalo errors. Since then, it has discovered that Guardians are still receiving these errors within the game client. According to Bungie, these issues relate to network stability, or if players have multiple PCs connected to Destiny 2 on a local network.

To address these issues, Bungie has urged those affected to follow steps within its Network Troubleshooting Guide to make sure they've applied the right settings for Destiny 2. On top of this, it’s recommended you configure your UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) settings to ensure that there’s no trouble if you’re running multiple PCs.

Destiny 2’s first expansion the Curse of Osiris launches on 5th December 2017, alongside Season 2 as well. We expect both Update 1.1.0 and Hotfix 1.1.1 to be deployed once the DLC goes live.

We’ll keep an eye out for any future patch notes before the influx of Destiny 2 content next month, so make sure you bookmark our site for the latest.
