About Ed Thorn

Ed's a huge fan of rushing B in CS:GO and grinding it out in Destiny 2. He will not rest until a new Wario Land is announced.

Our Destiny 2 Veteran rewards guide contains all of the items Guardians will earn for playing the original Destiny.

For players who have poured hundreds - or even thousands - of hours into the original Destiny, it’s nice to know that all of this time and effort won’t go unnoticed when the sequel arrives. The good news is that if you’ve earned certain achievements in Destiny, these will translate to in-game rewards for Destiny 2.

In our Destiny 2 Veteran rewards guide you’ll find everything we know so far about what long-term Destiny players will be rewarded with in the sequel. Currently, only a small amount of information has emerged, but we expect more details will surface as we edge closer to release.

We’ll update this article extensively when we get our hands on the game, and make sure it contains all you could possibly want to know about these player rewards.

If you’re looking for more information on all of the rare weapons and armour that are coming to Destiny 2, our Exotic Weapons guide and Exotic Armour guide have got you covered.

Otherwise, check out our massive Destiny 2 guide if you’re after a comprehensive overview of everything you could possibly need to know about the game. It’s constantly updated, so keep it on your radar!

Emblems

Destiny 2 will acknowledge veterans of the franchise with special emblems.

Seven have been confirmed so far, although do bear in mind that four of these cannot be obtained any more. This is because they are tied to achievements from the first two years of Destiny’s life: September 2014 - September 2016.

There are still a few weeks left to bag the last three emblems though, and you'll find those at the end of this list.

Our most popular Destiny 2 guides:

List of emblems with corresponding achievements:

  • Laurel Triumphant: You completed a Moment of Triumph during Destiny’s first year.
  • Laurea Prima II: You completed all 10 Moments of Triumph during Destiny’s first year.
  • Slayer of Oryx: You owned The Taken King and completed a Moment of Triumph during Destiny’s second year.
  • Heard the Call: You owned The Taken King and completed all 8 Moments of Triumph during Destiny’s second year.
  • Young Wolf: You owned Rise of Iron and reached Rank 2 in the Age of Triumph record book.
  • Saladin’s Pride: You owned Rise of Iron and reached Rank 7 in the Age of Triumph record book.
  • Lore Scholar: Your achieved a Grimoire score of over 5,000 in Destiny 1.

The video we’ve embedded below by Houndish showcases all seven emblems so you can take a look at them in game.
