Destiny 2 Titan guides and walkthroughs for every Adventure, Lost Sector, World Quest, Public Event and Scannable Object on the planet.
There are four worlds in Destiny 2, and one of these locations is known as Titan. It's a methane ocean moon with structures that are slowly sinking below the waves. This means that there's a lot of platforming to be done to get around the planet itself as you avoid plummeting into the sink below.
When you first land on Titan it's potentially one of the least welcoming. It's infested with the Hive and colonised by the Fallen - lovely. Strangely enough though, it's also one of the most interesting planets with one of the most enjoyable Public Events in the game. Below we've put together a guide that covers everything you can get up to on this planet so you can make the most of your time spent there.
Editor's UPDATE #4: We've included a section down below that focuses on the Arcology armour set you can obtain from Sloane. We'll continue to update this page with all the latest, so stay tuned for more!
Sloane is Titan's main NPC, and we've provided a simple overview of the features that she brings to the table.
- You'll find Sloane aboard the Rig.
- There's a Landing Zone very nearby.
- She sells weapons and armour which can be bought with Glimmer.
- Handing in Titan Tokens and Alkane Dust will build your Titan reputation points.
- Levelling up your Titan reputation rewards you with a Legendary Engram which contains Legendary rewards unique to Titan.
Free Warlock Exotic
As a Warlock, you'll have the opportunity to bag a free Exotic armour piece from Sloane during Destiny 2's campaign. It's a simple process and involves going about the game's story as normal until you reach a certain mission entitled Riptide.
Go ahead and complete Riptide, go back to Sloane and you'll be rewarded with a choice between three different Exotic Armour pieces: Sunbracers, Wings of Sacred Dawn and Eye of Another World.
Titan: Redeemable Drops
Here's an outline of the collectible currency drops you'll find while exploring Titan and completing the activities it has to offer.
- Alkane Dust
- Titan Tokens
Titan Tokens are handed out as rewards for every activity that you'll get involved in, whether that be cracking open Region Chests, Lost Sector caches or beating Public Events. The amount you receive depends on the difficulty of activity or rarity of chest, but it can be anywhere between 1 or 5 tokens. Handing these tokens into Sloane will reward you with a hefty chunk of reputation.
Alkane Dust can be found while out and about in Titan and resemble a chemical compound of sorts. Again, you can cash them into Sloane for a small amount of reputation.
Titan: Armour Sets
Every vendor on each of Destiny 2's planets offer a unique region themed armour set for every class in the game.
In Titan's case, cracking open enough of Sloane's Engrams will reward you with the Arcology armour set. They sport teal and white colour schemes while looking remarkably similar to traditional space garb. We're sure they were also designed primarily to protect you from the permanently awful weather on Titan too.
Below we've linked a video that'll show you the Arcology armour sets for every class. Just skip to around 2:30 to see them in all their glory.
There's only one Strike currently set on Titan and it's a deep dive into the Arcology where you'll be drawn into one of the Hive's most dangerous lairs. For a complete walkthrough, make sure you check out our guide just below.
Once you've completed the main Campaign you'll be able to get stuck into the many Adventures of Destiny 2. There are four of these side missions on Titan, and we've got walkthroughs for every single one:
Titan: Lost Sectors
Lost Sectors are little diversions where you clear out a cave system and beat a boss in order to get your hands on some extra loot - you can never have too much loot, right?
There are only three Lost Sectors to find on Titan, and we've got guides for finding and finishing each one.
More Destiny 2 location guides:
Titan: Public Events
As Titan's the smallest planet in Destiny 2 it's home to the fewest Public Events, but they're arguably the best in the game.
- Destroy the Arsenal Walker
- Witches Ritual
We've put together a handy guide to triggering the Heroic versions of these events. These are tougher variants of the same Public Event that substantially increase the amout of EXP you earn and the chances you'll receive some sought after loot. So do make sure you give our Heroic Public Events guide a read!
Titan: Exotic World Quest
Once you reach Power Level 260, you'll unlock the Titan Exotic weapon quest "Enemy of my Enemy". When you've completed this quest, a special Relic will be dripped into your Kinetic weapons slot which reveals a sequence of riddles you have to solve. This item is called The Rat King's Crew and if you manage to obtain what it requires then you'll be given the Exotic Sidearm "The Rat King".
The Rat King's Crew quest is pretty tough to crack, so we've put together a The Rat King guide that'll walk you through it step by step.
Titan: Scannable Objects
Scannable Objects are Bungie's new way of shedding a little extra light on the lore of the game.
There are 21 to track down in total on Titan and we've embedded a video down below which'll show you exactly how to find each one.
Titan: Region Chests
Cunningly tucked away in the far reaches of Titan are a number of Region Chests that'll give you an increased chance of a powerful drop and reward you with 3 Titan Tokens too.
Below we've embedded a video which shows exactly how to find each of Titan's Region Chests. Make sure you support the creator and give the video a thumbs up if you found it helpful.
Titan: Sea Monster
Watch the waves lap on Titan for long enough and you’ll see a huge sea creature breach the surface for a second or two.
While it’s not something that you’ll be able to interact with, it’s a mysterious detail that Bungie has included in the game to produce discussion from the community.
It seems that the community has settled on the fact that it’s a Hive worm of some kind, and one that’s related to the Hive god Oryx who was once master of the Taken before he was slain in the original game.
We know that the Hive aren’t backing down now that their leader has fallen, but perhaps this sea monster is Bungie’s way of suggesting that there’s a much greater Hive force at work behind the scenes. Hopefully we’ll see more of them in future expansions!
For now, it’s worth watching this video on the matter, as it gives you a better idea of the theories surrounding the monster and provides a few laughs along the way too.
Here's a few images of the planet in all its glory:
Take a look at the Worlds of Destiny 2 trailer that was recently released by Bungie. This should give you an idea of what's in store for you when you first set foot on Titan:
