Our Destiny 2 Calus Challenge guide explains how to complete this encounter, with tips, tricks and strategy advice to ensure that you walk away with all the loot.
The Leviathan Raid’s fourth and final challenge has landed, and this time it affects the final boss fight with Emperor Calus.
When it comes to previous challenges, this is very much in the same difficulty bracket and shouldn’t be something that causes you too much trouble. To put it very simply, everyone is now required to activate all 4 plates at the same time when gearing up to damage Calus.
If you don’t defeat Calus in one damage phase, you’ll just need to repeat this process until he goes down. Of course, if you don’t activate all the plates at the same time, then the challenge will fail, so make sure you remember to do so.
It’s worth mentioning that once your fireteam has activated all the plates at the same time to initiate the damage phase, you don’t have to stay put. Instead, once you’ve triggered the damage phase, you can all hop onto the same plate if you want to.
One of the best strategies here is to assign 3 individuals to 3 separate plates, while the remaining 3 stack together on 1 plate. This ensures that you’ve got some decent survivability and means you aren’t all scattered over the arena.
