Valve’s latest CS:GO update has capped the round-loss bonus at five rounds, introduces a handful of new features to Danger Zone as well as some smaller UI tweaks too.

News that will undoubtedly incite screams of happiness from the competitive community, the five round cap means that loss bonus money will step down to $2,900 after a team with a $3,400 max loss bonus streak wins a round.

This change will prevent teams from cashing in on a hefty loss-bonus pay packet and easily taking control a match. Put simply, it was too rewarding and gave struggling teams more than just a helping hand but a powerful method of suddenly swinging the economy in their favour.

After the last big update, it looks like Valve's investing a great deal into Danger Zone in the hopes it'll start to gain traction. It’s now added a Drone Pilot item, which allows players to spy on enemies and scout for resources.

The UI’s also been jazzed up. There’s now a “Looking to Play” features which means players can now advertise themselves as available for party invites and can easily party up with players also “Looking to Play”.

A brand new CS:GO Events tab also means players can now seen an HLTV-provided schedule of professional LAN events in the Watch tab. Players can favourite tournaments and get notified about live matches - very handy indeed.

Head on over to Valve’s official blog post for a complete overview of all the other bug fixes, map adjustments and more in this patch.
