Team Liquid beat FaZe 2-0 to lift the BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles trophy and claim their fifth consecutive premier tournament victory.

The North American side finished the tournament with a perfect 9-0 map record and continue to prove that they’re the best team in the world.

The final kicked off on FaZe’s map pick, Nuke. However, it was Team Liquid who set the pace and dominated the first half. At 11-4 on the change over, Liquid sailed to a comfortable 16-4 victory while FaZe never looked in the game at all.

Inferno was a tighter affair, but FaZe always seemed one step behind Liquid who held the advantage on the change over with a 9-6 lead. On the CT side Liquid looked as if they were in a hurry, winning seven rounds in a row to close out the game with a 16-6 scoreline.

FaZe won’t be too pleased with the result, but they performed on a higher level than some of their most recent showings. Reaching the final will be a nice boost to the team’s confidence as they move closer to upcoming StarLadder Berlin Major.

Meanwhile, Team Liquid are beginning to carve out their own era. Honestly, we’re not sure any team comes close to the level of CS they’re bringing to each and every tournament right now.
