The first day of the New Legends Stage has come to a close, and with it we now know which teams will be facing off against each other in the third round.

Heading up the 2-0 pool is an exciting clash between the indomitable Astralis and a spirited Renegades. The latter have proved themselves to be the biggest surprise of the tournament so far, having secured a huge upset against FaZe Clan and failing to drop a match so far.

Liquid and Natus Vincere are the second match in the 2-0 pool and it’s guaranteed to be a close contest. Both teams are in good form and the outcome will largely come down to whether NaVi’s superstars such as s1mple and flamie can dictate the match, or whether Liquid can consistently shut them down.

The 1-1 pool contains the most matches in total, and all eyes will be on FaZe to see if they can bounce back from their unexpected loss against Renegades last night. NiP are also looking in the best form we’ve seen them for a long while, and having had a close match against Liquid in Round 2, it’ll be interesting to see if Hellraisers have the firepower to stop them.

MIBR dismissed compLexity with ease in their previous match, but it’s clear that the Brazilians are still searching for their previous Major-winning magic. They’re taking on an unpredictable G2, whose performances have varied wildly between sheer brilliance and terribly shaky. Here’s hoping we're treated to an explosive encounter between the two teams.

Vitality versus Cloud 9 rounds off the final match in the 1-1 pool. Cloud 9 will need to shake off their 16-0 loss against Astralis in the previous round, and refocus if they’re to topple a strong and consistent Vitality.

Finally, the 0-2 pool features must-win matchups for all teams. NRG will fight for survival against their North American compatriots compLexity, while ENCE take on German side BIG in a make or break match.

Here's a breakdown of all the upcoming matches:

2-0 Pool:

  • Astralis vs. Renegades
  • Liquid vs. Natus Vincere

1-1 Pool:

  • FaZe vs. AVANGAR
  • MIBR vs. G2
  • NiP vs. HellRaisers
  • Vitality vs. Cloud9

0-2 Pool:

  • NRG vs. compLexity
  • ENCE vs. BIG
