About Ed Thorn

Ed's a huge fan of rushing B in CS:GO and grinding it out in Destiny 2. He will not rest until a new Wario Land is announced.

Legendary Swedish organisation Ninjas in Pyjamas has announced that William “draken” Sundin will be standing in for Dennis “dennis” Edman for its upcoming tournaments.

The Ninjas revealed the news over on its official site, stating that dennis “has been experiencing some energy fatigue” due to “heavy scheduling over the last period of time”. With this in mind, the organisation decided it was best to give him some much-needed time off to recover.

Here’s NiP’s full statement:

"Our player, Dennis “dennis” Edman, has been experiencing some energy fatigue due to heavy scheduling over the last period of time. In order to prevent this from escalating, we have mutually agreed for Dennis to take some time off to recover before returning to competitive play.

"The upcoming schedule for the Counter-Strike team is heavy, and we do not want to take any risks with regards to our players’ health. Dennis will undergo further medical examination in the upcoming days, and we are looking forward to seeing him return once he is ready to compete again.

"As Dennis recovers, we will be welcoming a familiar face to the Ninjas in Pyjamas active roster for the upcoming events. We are pleased to announce that we have found a good replacement in William “draken” Sundin, who will be taking on the AWP-role for the Ninjas in Pyjamas.

"During William’s last tenure with NiP, we saw a resurgence with us ultimately lifting the IEM Oakland trophy. We are looking forward to seeing our boys compete during the upcoming events, and will keep all our fans updated on the progress of Dennis."

Draken’s no stranger to NiP, and having played for the team previously he’s undoubtedly a great pick to fill the void left by dennis. He’ll be assuming the position of primary AWPer on the team and will certainly hope to come back with a bang.

Draken had recently been playing and practicing with the likes of “ScreaM” and Ex6TenZZZ for a roster based in Uruguay, but it’s clear that NiP’s offer was too good to refuse.

NiP’s first tournament with this updated roster will be at the BLAST Pro Series in Sao Paolo, taking place on March 23rd. It’ll certainly be very interesting to see how much of an impact draken will have on the team.
