Astralis defeated AVANGAR in an extremely one-sided final to claim the StarLadder Berlin Major 2019 trophy. This makes them the first team in CS:GO history to win four Majors, and arguably the best team of all-time.

The Danish side kicked off their Major campaign in style and totally dominated AVANGAR on the first half of Inferno, switching sides with a huge 12-3 lead. No matter how hard they tried, AVANGAR simply couldn’t find a way into the match at all. This was an Astralis who clearly weren’t leaving without the Major title.

Unfortunately for AVANGAR, switching sides had zero impact on their performance. Astralis continued their winning ways and raced to a 16-6 victory.

Astralis resumed business on the next map, Dust II, and overwhelmed AVANGAR once again. It was plain sailing throughout, with Astralis sealing the win with a convincing 16-5 scoreline.

After a rocky few months, Astralis has proven that they're still clearly the team to beat when it comes to the Majors. Team Liquid occupied the number one spot during Astralis' rough patch, having won numerous big titles and the prestigious Intel Grand Slam. Having been dismissed by the Danes in the Quarterfinals of this Major, though, the Astralis era definitely isn't done just yet.
