Earn XP in Call of Duty: Warzone and you’ll level up your rank which’ll lead to all sorts of unlocks. In this guide we’ll provide some tips on how to optimise the XP you earn and level up fast.

What’s the fastest way to earn XP and level up Call of Duty: Warzone? Well, we’ll round up all the info you need to know just below.

How to earn XP and level up fast in Warzone

Keep an eye out for XP events

Every now and again Warzone will feature a Double XP event in which you'll earn, well, double the XP you'd normally receive. This'll help you on your way to levelling much faster!

One of the most recent events is coming up on May 29th and will run until June 1st, just before Season 4 launches. If you're aiming to max out your Battle Pass, then this is the time.

Complete Missions and Challenges

One of the most effective ways to earn XP is to complete Daily and Weekly Challenges, as well as more substantial Missions.

As you’d expect, Daily Challenges rotate every 24hrs and task you with three basic objectives. We’ve got to use 18 armour plates, buy 3 killstreaks, and collect our loadout once in the example below.

If you don’t own Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, you won’t get access to the “Multiplayer” and “Co-op Operations” Daily Challenges which’ll reward you with extra Warzone XP. So if you really want to level up fast, you’ll want to consider purchasing MW and play it alongside Warzone for max XP gains.

Weekly Challenges are very similar to Daily, except there’s more of them!

Missions are the most substantial ways of earning XP, but you’ll need to put in a lot more effort to complete them. You need to choose and activate one specific Mission, which’ll then task you with multiple objectives. Complete all of these tasks and not only will you receive a tonne of XP, but a lovely weapon blueprint or fancy cosmetic item too.

Taking all of these things into consideration, we’d highly recommend playing Warzone every day with these tasks in mind. Head into each game with a view to completing as many of them as possible.

Loot, loot, loot

You’ll earn XP when you loot chests scattered across Warzone’s map, so make sure you’re cracking open as many as possible - even if you’re fully kitted out.

Chests emit a humming noise if you’re close to one, so make sure you keep an ear out when searching a building.

Secure plenty of kills

This one goes without saying, but try your utmost to get as many eliminations as possible in each game you play. Even getting a Knockdown will grant you some XP, so don’t be afraid to get stuck into the action, take fights, and potentially wipe a squad.

While it might result in some early losses, getting into the habit of taking fights when you’ve got an advantage will help you get better at the game, and in the long run, earn more XP!

We’d recommend having a flick through our Best Guns and Best Loadouts pages if you’re after a better idea of what weapons you should equip to give you the best chance of victory.

Complete Contracts

Contracts are mini-missions in Warzone and are marked by a magnifying glass symbol on the map. Pick one up like a regular piece of loot and you’ll be tasked with hunting down a player or team, securing an area, opening crates, and more.

Complete these objectives within the time limit and you’ll earn yourself plenty of XP, as well as in-game rewards to help increase your chances of success.

Survive as long as possible

While this doesn’t necessarily go hand in hand with “Get loads of kills”, if you combine both of these things, and play it smart, you can net yourself some big XP rewards. Essentially, the longer you survive, the greater the XP bonus.

To increase your chances of survival, you could land in a safer spot, get kitted out, and only take fights when you know you’re in a good position. You can take this to the extreme by not really engaging with anything at all, but that’s no fun, and you also won’t contribute to ticking off your Challenges, Missions, and the like.

That's it for this guide, but do make sure you give our Battle Pass levelling page a quick read if you want to level it up just as quickly!
