Everyone loves the AK47. The chunky bullets this thing fires pack an absolutely massive punch in Warzone, but is it a viable choice to actually use?
The AK is a classic in most modern FPS games, and Warzone is no different. It's powerful, when you hit shots, but the base recoil rate is something of a nightmare. You'll need to kit it out nicely to fix this, so read on to find out how.
Here's our favourite AK47 loadout for Warzone.
Best AK47 Loadout in Warzone
Ideally you'll be levelled up nicely and have access to the attachments. There are replacements though - if you don't have the Monolithic Suppressor then just whack on a Tactical, and before you get the Tac Laser then Stippled or Rubberized Grip Tape are solid alternatives.
Multiplayer is the best place to level up guns, particularly if you can grind Shipment 24/7, Shoot the Ship, or another small-map playlist. Without Multiplayer, it'll take a bit longer, but switch out some of the higher-level attachments and wait for a free trial weekend if you're desperate.
Here’s our favourite AK47 loadout for Warzone:
- Muzzle - Monolithic Suppressor
- Laser - Tac Laser
- Optic - VLK 3.0x Optic
- Stock - Skeleton Stock
- Underbarrel - Merc Foregrip
Unlike a lot of our Warzone loadout guides, we didn't put a long barrel on the AK47. This is because the handling for this gun is already pretty slow, and all the barrels make this thing's aim-down-sight speed excruciatingly slow. Instead, we have the Monolithic Suppressor to help with the gun's range, and the Merc Foregrip to improve the gun's recoil significantly.
We like the VLK 3.0x Optic because it helps pick out targets from a fairly long distance whilst taking advantage of short-optic aim-assist on console, but feel free to switch this one out for any optic that feels best for you to use.
We've tried to mitigate some of the slower aspects of this gun, particularly with the Skeleton Stock and Tac Laser, whilst bolstering recoil control with the Merc Foregrip. It's decent for long-distance firefights thanks to the Monolithic Suppressor, but you'll still need to control the unpredictable recoil pretty hard.
We wish the 75 Round Drum Mags ammunition attachment didn't slow this gun's mobility to a crawl, but if you're desperate for that extra ammo (which is really useful) then be warned of the drawbacks. The issue with the AK is that all your attachment slots are used for fixing problems it has, rather than giving it new capabilities like other weapons are able to.

Secondary, Perks, Equipment
Here's the rest of our loadout:
- Secondary weapon: RPG-7.
- Perk 1 - Cold Blooded
- Perk 2 - Ghost
- Perk 3 - Amped
- Lethal - C4
- Tactical - Heartbeat Sensor
Ghost should be on most of your loadouts, if we're honest. Unless you want to pick up an Overkill loadout first and then a Ghost loadout later, in which case you should put a nice SMG, such as an MP7 or MP5, on this class as a secondary.
If you aren't going for Ghost though, the RPG is always a nice second option. Along with C4, it can completely destroy entire enemy squads if you catch them in the blast, putting your team at a significant advantage or just outright killing them if you blow up their vehicle.
The Heartbeat Sensor is vital for this class as long as your teammates don't already have them. If they do, feel free to sub the Heartbeat Sensor out for Stun Grenades or Flash Grenades.
