Call of Duty Mobile has just been announced by Activision and Tencent. It's described as a full COD experience on your mobile device, and will be released on both the Android and iOS platforms.

There are going to be a number of phases to actually getting the game running on your platform. First of all there's going to be a beta, followed by a full release. It's not yet known whether the Android or iOS releases will be staggered, or if they'll launch simultaneously.

Activision has also not confirmed whether the beta will be available on both of the main mobile platforms, although general registration for the beta is now open.

In this guide we're going to walk you through each stage of getting the game installed, but note that this will be a work in progress as each phase of release gets under way.

At the time of writing the first version of this article, we're at the registration phase of release. That means you can provide your details to Activision, and be the first to get notifications of when the beta is available to download.

WARNING: It's very common for high-profile mobile releases like this to attract scammers. Only provide your details directly to Activision when signing up, and resist the temptation to install any software on your phone that hasn't been released on the iOS and Android stores.

How to register for COD Mobile

In the initial announcement for COD Mobile, Activision has provided the first details of how you can register your interest in the game.

Simply head to the official registration page and enter your details.

You will need to provide:

  • An email address and password to create an account
  • Your location
  • Your date of birth

How to download COD Mobile on Android

A playable client has not yet been released for Android, but you can register your interest in playing on the platform.

There will be a beta client released at first, and the best way of getting stuck into it is to register your interest. You can do so by using the link in the section above.

Once the beta is under way, we'll flesh out this section with full instructions for getting hold of the COD Mobile client and installing it on your Android platform of choice.

How to download COD Mobile on iOS

At this moment in time there is no client for the iOS version of Call of Duty Mobile. As with the Android version, you can only register your interest and wait for a client announcement.

Once we're in the next phase of release, we'll update this section with full, clear instructions for downloading and installing COD Mobile on your iPhone or iPad.

For everything that's been confirmed so far, make sure you check out our Call of Duty Mobile guide. It contains every detail released by Activision so far, and will be updated continuously over time.
