Best MP5 loadout and class setup in Warzone

Can anything stand against this duo of SMGs?

Looking for the best MP5 loadout in Warzone? The MP5 in Warzone has been a staple since Modern Warfare's release, and in Warzone things are no different. Really, all that’s changed in the last 16 months is the addition of the Cold War MP5. Surprise, surprise; it’s also very, very good. Both MP5s are excellent choices in the current Warzone meta. The Modern Warfare MP5 has slightly faster time-to-kill and lower recoil, while the Cold War MP5 has much better mobility. No matter which one you choose, we’ve got you covered with our guide to the best MP5 loadout in Warzone Pacific for each gun.

Best MP5 loadout in Warzone

Let's not bury the lede with this guide; here's the very best Modern Warfare MP5 setup in Warzone right now:

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
  • Ammunition: 45 Round Mags
  • Laser: Tac Laser
  • Perk: Sleight of Hand

Below you can see how the MP5 looks with this loadout equipped:

This is what the MP5 looks like when kit out with the best loadout we've found so far.

And now to justify our choice of attachments, because it seems everyone has a different opinion nowadays on how to best kit out an MP5. The biggest choice we've made here is to forego a barrel attachment in favour of the Monolithic Suppressor. The comparable Monolithic Integral Suppressor provides slightly more of the same stats, in exchange for a bigger mobility hit. With the amount of mobility Cold War competitors provide, we prefer the muzzle version.

The Commando Foregrip is a perfect match for the MP5, because the worst thing about the gun is the high side-to-side bounce between each shot while spraying. The Commando Foregrip is a great way to mitigate that without hurting ADS speed. You can see the difference this makes in the recoil comparison image below.

A side-by-side comparison of the MP5 spray pattern with our loadout equipped vs the base weapon.

Next is the 45 Round Mags attachment, which should be fairly self-explanatory: even in solos, 30 Rounds just doesn't cut it in Warzone. It's well worth the lost mobility. And finally, we've opted to speed our handling stats back up with the double-whammy of the Tac Laser and the Sleight of Hand perk, to speed up the MP5's fairly lengthy reloads. Together, these five attachments promote an already excellent gun into god-tier territory. Give it a whirl, and watch your enemies wither under its glowing green gaze.

If you love hipfire spraying, try trading your Commando Foregrip and Tac Laser for a Mercenary Foregrip and 5mW laser. This will set you up with the best hipfire accuracy in Warzone. You can also swap Sleight of Hand for the FTAC Collapsible stock to regain some mobility, but it is tough to give up with a maximum magazine size of 45 rounds.

The best Cold War MP5 loadout in Warzone

The Cold War MP5 doesn’t quite have the damage output of its older sibling, but it does have incredible mobility stats. If you want to fly around the map, use our best Cold War MP5 loadout:

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Pistol Grip: Airborne Elastic Wrap
  • Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
  • Stock: Raider Stock
  • Ammunition: Stanag 50 Round Drum

The Agency Suppressor will keep you off of enemy radar, and give you a slight boost to recoil control. You also gain some bullet velocity and damage range. Most Cold War SMGs would then add a Ranger or Task Force barrel, but the MP5 is a little strange. Several blueprints for the MP5 feature a different iron sight that many players prefer. However, using an alternate barrel reverts it back to the standard irons. Plus, the MP5’s range is so short that percentage increases really don’t do a lot. The Agency Suppressor will be enough if you want the cleaner iron sights.

The Airborne Elastic Wrap will give you a very snappy ADS speed, but if you feel like recoil is a problem try a Field Agent Grip under the barrel instead. Meanwhile, a Stanag 50 round magazine will help you take on more than one enemy at a time without getting caught reloading. You can use the 50 round speed mag to get a quicker reload too, but it will hurt your ADS speed somewhat. It’s really just a matter of preference, so play around with both and see what feels better to you.

Finally the Tiger Team Spotlight and Raider Stock will give you a big boost to mobility. Movement speed is a very important stat for close-range fights in Warzone. These two attachments will make it harder for enemies to keep their aim locked on you, and that will win you fights.

Secondary weapons

As both MP5s are very close-range SMGs, you will want an Assault Rifle for those mid to long-range fights. The Krig 6 and C58 are very strong even after nerfs to each, and the QBZ is growing ever more popular. You can also try an LMG to put more shots downrange. The PKM and Bruen are both excellent in that regard.

And that wraps up our Warzone MP5 loadout guide! Hopefully you now have a killer SMG in your hands ready for Season 6 and the upcoming Pacific update. For a broader picture of the meta, see our guides to the best guns and best loadouts in Warzone.
