Call of Duty: Mobile is successful thanks to its online modes, but we've looked into whether you can play it offline.
Of course, the main appeal of the Call of Duty series is online play, especially when the mobile version of the game allows you to fight your foes from wherever you want. Still though, sometimes you feel like playing offline. Maybe you’re on the tube or don’t want to use all your data.
Does Call of Duty: Mobile have an offline mode?
Unfortunately, you can’t currently play COD: Mobile offline. If you try to open the game without a stable internet connection, you’ll receive the below error message or a perpetual loading screen.
Can you play against bots offline in Call of Duty: Mobile?
Even though COD: Mobile implements bots as opponents for new players, there's currently no way to put yourself in a game with exclusively bots with adjustable difficulties like in some other games in the series. We'll keep an eye out for updates on this though!
What happens if I lose my Call of Duty: Mobile connection mid-game?
If you lose your connection in the middle of a COD: Mobile game, either Multiplayer or Battle Royale, you'll have the chance to reconnect. If you don't reconnect in time you'll be sent back to the Main Menu.
When quitting out of a game, you're given the above warning message, but the exact nature of the penalty is unclear.
We’ll keep you updated on this though! PUBG Mobile allows you to at least play training mode without an internet connection, so it’d make sense for COD: Mobile to have a similar functionality. We know the game uses bots, so hopefully the capability is there for the future.
