Saving is a bit of a weird one in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Resetti may have been laid off, but you should still be making sure you’re getting your game saved when possible.

You don’t want to lose all the progress you’ve made in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Here’s how to get your game saved to make sure you’re all good to go.

How to save your game in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

The basic save function is pretty simple. Simply navigate to the menu with the ‘-’ button and select the ‘Save and End’ option. This’ll put you back to the title screen and save all the progress you’ve made so far. There’s no ‘save and continue’ option in the game at the moment.

Does Animal Crossing: New Horizons have Cloud Save?

According to an interview with IGN, game director Aya Kyogoku and producer Hisashi Nogami claimed having cloud save functionality would give players the ability to exploit the game’s economy and potentially let players cheat their way to extra bells. Does Animal Crossing: New Horizons have autosave?

Autosave does exist in New Horizons, so don’t panic if you accidentally close the game. A little blue ring in the top right of your screen will light up when the autosave is happening, so you’ll be able to tell your last saved progress.
