Feng Shui is a feature in all Animal Crossing games so far, and it’s likely to return in New Horizons. Here’s our Feng Shui guide to help you perfectly decorate your abode.

We’ll keep an eye on how things develop in New Horizons, but the system hasn’t changed a huge amount since the last couple of Animal Crossing games, so we’re confident Feng Shui will be making a return this time around.

Feng Shui guide - how to decorate your room

Your main room is organised into tiles. In previous games, you started with a 4x4 room, which grew as you fed money to Tom Nook’s corporate machine. Eventually, it becomes 8/8, but the basic premise is the same.

It’s pretty simple when you get down to it though, and when your room is larger, you’ll have more space for furniture that doesn’t impact your Feng Shui.

Feng Shui arrangements

In previous Animal Crossing games, your room arrangements have been pretty simple. We expect this to be the same for New Horizons, with certain furniture corresponding to certain colours that you’ll need to arrange correctly. Below is an image from Nookipedia showing the room configurations - we’ll update this guide as and when we find out more about New Horizons’ specifics.

What are the Feng Shui bonuses?

You don’t need to organise your room so it perfectly corresponds to the Feng Shui chart, but if you do, you’ll get various bonuses.

Placing ‘yellow’ items in the correct areas will give you more money, particularly from shaking trees and hitting money rocks. Check out our guide on how to make bells for more info on farming cash. According to this forum post, yellow Feng Shui also reduces the cost of items sold by your villagers, as well as the price of art from Crazy Redd.

’Red’ items in the right positions will increase your item luck, increasing your chances of finding items around the island. According to Liquefy’s 2015 guide, Red Feng Shui makes you more likely to receive genuine art from villagers, as well as increasing the probability of getting rare items elsewhere.

’Green’ furniture increases your overall general luck in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. You’ll be more likely to get genuine art at Redd’s, and more likely to be offered rare items for purchase.

Remember, all this info is accurate to Animal Crossing: New Leaf, but we expect New Horizons to follow on from the previous instalment pretty accurately.

Furniture colour values

All furniture has a colour value, but only Red, Yellow, and Green matter to Feng Shui. Once we’ve had it confirmed, you’ll find a full list of all the furniture you need to maximise your Feng Shui.

That’s all for our Feng Shui guide in Animal Crossing: New Horizons! Go check out more of our New Horizons guides, including how to grow trees, as well as how to make as many bells as possible quickly.

Hey, I think your article has been plagiarized. Someone appears to have run your writing here through a translator and then run it back through to English.
