Our Lunar New Year 2018 (Year of the Dog) skins page contains the latest details of all the old skins returning to Overwatch, with the new ones to be added in a future update.
We already know from the latest Developer Update video by the Overwatch team that the Lunar New Year event will - following last year's debut - make an appearance in the game soon.
This time around it's the Year of the Dog, and we expect to see the usual crop of old and new skins make a return to the game, as well as plenty of other cosmetic items. The old skins will almost certainly be available at a reduced price, with the very latest stuff arriving with a higher price point attached.
Our Lunar New Year 2018 guide has the lowdown on everything we currently know about the launch, and will be updated continuously throughout the coming weeks. For now though we wanted to get a quick page together covering the Lunar New Year skins you'll be able to purchase with Credits, or grab from Loot Boxes.
In this first edition we've got a gallery of all of last year's skins which will be returning soon. If Blizzard releases details of the new skins ahead of launch (as it's done occasionally for events in the past), we'll add them in here right away. Alternatively we'll grab them straight from the client as soon as Year of the Dog goes live.
Here's a quick overview of what else will likely return with Year of the Dog:
Capture the Rooster - This Capture the Flag affair saw players compete to grab their opponent's flag and rush it back to their base before it could be retrieved. We'll have to wait and see whether the mode is expanded upon, or expanded into another map for Year of the Dog.
Lijiang Tower - All three control points on this map where given a makeover to match the new year, and will almost certainly make a comeback in 2018. Perhaps we'll even get another updated map to go with it as well?
Cosmetic Items - A total of 124 new items were released to mark Year of the Rooster. Expect more items to be added with this year's crop of cosmetic content.
