The Druid seems to be getting all of the love in the Frozen Throne meta, thanks to a handful of new late-game options which make the hero's signature Innervate card almost disgustingly overpowered. Some have even called for the card to be either nerfed somehow, or relegated to the Hearthstone Hall of Fame alongside other Basic and Classic cards.

Wherever you stand on this subject, it's very likely you're keen to play around with some of these decks, if only to learn their individual weaknesses so you can fare better against them. Or you just want to blast up the ladder with a stupidly powerful deck - that's OK too.

Without further ado then, here's our round-up of the best Druid decks you can play in the Frozen Throne meta right now. We've a quick description of how each one plays, but you can dip into our linked guides for individual deck lists and strategy advice for playing each one.

1. Jade Druid

Jade Druid is built around the Jade Golem mechanic. The first of these creatures you summon has 1 / 1 stats, the second 2 / 2, the third 3 / 3 and so on until you run out of options.

That takes a long time in the Frozen Throne, particularly if you can stuff your hand with Jade Idols and Fandral Staghelm after an Ultimate Infestation play.

2. Token Druid

Token Druid was already in danger of becoming pretty overpowered in the Un'Goro meta, thanks to cards like Vicious Fledgling and Bittertide Hydra.

The addition of cards like Druid of the Swarm and Crypt Lord has only pushed the power creep of this deck even further. Probably the cheapest of the Druid decks to craft - not that you were planning to play it yourself, of course...

3. Ramp Druid

Classic Ramp disappeared from the meta (more or less) for much of 2017, although it's now very much back in fashion thanks to the late-game power of cards like Malfurion the Pestilent, Ultimate Infestation and The Lich King.

Again, Innervate's the culprit here, allowing you to access more late-game power plays, earlier on in the match than ever before.

4. Malygos Druid

Malygos Druid leans on the titular card to give its spells an astonishing amount of oomph, but you're also building towards some very cheap Arcane Giants, and a Kun the Forgotten King who'll effectively reset your turn once he's played.

The future of this one in the overall rankings isn't certain yet - and it's faded in and out of fashion over the years - so don't rush to craft any Legendaries you don't own. Not quite yet anyway.

5. Taunt Druid

Although subject to a lot of pre-release hype, Taunt Druid hasn't proved to be the most problematic Druid deck in the new meta. That's all relative, of course, and this is still a deck that's capable of causing both aggro and control opponents a lot of headaches.

This is another expensive Druid deck though, and you'll also need to own Hadronox to make it work.

Do you agree that Druid is broken right now, or do you think the number of decks will be refined, thinned down and countered once the launch hysteria is over? Is it time to either rework or relegate Innervate, or is it fine as it is?

Let us know your thoughts in the comments, and we'll highlight some of the best ones in a future update to this article.
